It’d be fair to say we loved Singapore. Having spent the best part of two months travelling through Laos and Cambodia, a week here was perfect before jumping headlong into a month travelling up through Vietnam.
Singapore is spotless, ordered (want to chew gum? NO! Want to cross the road wherever you like? NO!) and blooming expensive, but as far as city breaks go, it’s amazing. There’s tons to see and do, and if you happen to be a shopaholic, you could probably visit a different mall every day for a year – seriously, if there’s a spare bit of land, they plonk a mall in there.
Anyway, here’s some of our snaps from our stay there…
We named this street ‘Air Con Alley’…The Waterworld show at Universal Studios – cheesy acting but better than the original film.Sheltering from the rain storm in Smith St – the Food St in Chinatown.New & old architecture on Orchard Street.Singapore shutters…Sadly it was closed…Boz on the Southern Ridges walk…Just before we got soaked on the Southern Ridges 🙂Rain clouds rolling in over the docks.Wandering around the marina 🙂Downtown Singapore by night.Light show at marina bay – kinda cool but kinda disappointing.Singapore’s subtle architecture.Getting full use of my tripod.Biggest port in the world, I think I might have read somewhere, maybe…Ooh, moody.
